about us
Samreh is Kurdish from Iran. Born during the Khomeini/Saddam war in 1982. Samreh and her family left Iran when she was six years old as refugees and moved to Turkey. From Turkey, they moved to the Netherlands. After eight years living in the Netherlands, her parents split up, her dad moved back to Iran and her mother took their three children, including Samreh and moved to Canada. Samreh was 14 years old when she arrived in Canada.
When Samreh was eight years old, she watched an episode of The Oprah Show that was on rape. Samreh was sexually trafficked as a young child, but she did not know it had a name and realized what had happened to her. At that moment she had a vision of her having her own talkshow one day and she would also be able to help people discover things about themselves and about others. Samreh wants to make a positive impact in the lives of those watching through love, empathy, understanding and information.
Samreh has a College Diploma in Multimedia Journalism and currently she is in her last year of Masters in Divinity.
